A bar the village never stopped using
The Pack Horse Inn includes a bar where guests can settle into the atmosphere of a traditional South Brent stay. It is an unhurried room, shared with the people who live here, and it does exactly what a village bar has always done: gives everyone somewhere to sit, talk and let the evening run at its own speed.
Kids' meals are available, so families travelling with children are looked after, and there is a board for darts when the conversation needs something to happen around it.
Space to gather, and quiet when you want it
A room where the village and the visitors end up in the same conversation by nine o'clock.
Alongside the bar there are meeting and banquet facilities, so groups who need a room of their own have somewhere to put it. That covers anything from a family gathering to a working afternoon that would rather not happen in a city.
Each guest room has tea and coffee-making facilities, which is often what you want most after a long day on the moor: a hot drink, dry socks and no need to go anywhere at all. The bar is there when you want company and the stairs are there when you do not.
For anything beyond that, South Brent is a village with shops and places to eat within walking distance, and Totnes is a short drive away for a wider choice. Please note there is no internet access available at the property.
